hey, ones off a s4 and ones off an s5 (same cores, slightly different tanks). Neither have been fitted to another car before. I think it would fit well in the standard location on the MR2 tho.

Anything is better than the stock ones

The S5 core does flow a bit better than the S4 too, but both are very efficient.

Actually the stock core is quite efficient, and takes a long time to heatsoak with good recovery. However it's let down by the pressure drop.

Nope, you need new piping, and/or new end tanks, depending on how neat you want it.

yep, still have it. The efficiency is meant to be as good as, or better than a vr4 one

will not bolt straight on. Will need to change the outlets on the tanks and make up some mounts.

You guys should do a search of autospeed.com
They did quite a comprehensive comparison of used japanese model intercoolers and if I recall correctly the series 4 IC is actually better than the series 5 due to the end tanks or something like that.

I would have thought a water to air intercooler with the radiator front mounted would be a good idea on an MR2?

its cost a few more cents than an old rx7 IC
water lines, pump, W/A IC and rad and plumbing

i wouldnt waste my time going from stock to a rx7 unit,

No I do't have any flow figures, IIRC pressure drop was around 2.5psi at 17psi manifold pressure, but I haven't got the datalogs on this computer so I can't confirm it.
