Let me see how my tune comes out before i reccomend him, but hes been on to it replacing anything as it fails to provide a solution to somthing thats not yet become a problem... Id rather wait longer while he finds a rusty leak in the fuel tank than get it back and have to take it off the road agian..

andre at speedtech has a lot of experience with 4agte's. he seems to know how far he can take them before they become unreliable (probly experience from blowing a few up).
he tuned my car to 218kw atw , slideways car to ~210atw , and also trueno_turbo's car to ~210kw atw, all running with link ecu's.

they are able to wire them too.

if you ask nicely/bribe someone, someone from here might give you their map as a starting point, potentially saving you 100's of $$$ in dyno time. i can't help you there as i don't have a usb port on my link so don't have the right gear to access my map.

good thing about 4agze turbo's , is that they are very hard to break, and will survive poor a:f ratios for quite a while. they tend to run bearings, blow oil and have issues like that instead of dropping pistons etc.
any half decent tuner will be able to get good results out of a dyno tune if your engine is up to it.

i suggest you ring around a few potential tuners, ask about pricing, dyno hire charges, expected time to build a map form scratch etc, and what experience they have with the engine.

i used gavin bellars at hi velocity in wairau, tunes nice and conservative, ie mines quite rich, but still good power, and we all know my 196kw has proved itself on the 1/4mile aye jeremy

really good guy to deal with, you'll just have to check with him as he's normally pretty busy. also does a really good road tune afterwards, ie mine is really fuel economical when cruising light throttle (passing) etc. can get 500km on a tank.

i would fully reccomend kent form speedsource in warkworth(0214dynotune). awesome rates and tuned my internally stock 1ggte to over 240kw atw. really friendly helpful dude as well.
i beleve he has tuned a 4agte to over 315kw with a gt30/40 strapped on the side.
unsure if he would be interested in wiring your ecu.. couldn't hurt to ask though.
current cars:
Evo 4 230Kw atw
1971 mini.
79 bugeye 245kw atw.

yeah kent was the other one i was trying to think of, i'll "most likely" be going to kent for a retune when i change a few things around later on as gavin doesn't "really" like tuning road cars much leaner. but he will if you really want him to, you'll get a nice safe/reliable/good power tune from him. safe and reliable being key words.

if you wait for him, dont worry about the figures his dyno says, they are all different.

basically plug ecu in to computer, click load, will bring up whats on there atm,

click open, select his map, click ok, click store or save, and tick save settings to ecu or something along those lines, then click ok

also, you MUST make sure your outputs/colour wires are the same, or change them around to suit YOUR loom. and make sure you have same sorta ignition stuff, or change to suit YOUR setup,

cheers

lol, wheres you're manners man?. you do realise it can cost alot of $$$ in dyno time to build a map from scratch, you should be very thankful the guy offered it to you!

I would only give it to mates I know, everyone else can pay!!!!!
