Looking at changing the exhaust manifold on the Aristo. Currently running a twin to single adapter. So what are people running or what would you suggest?

+1 for sinco, been running one for 3 years now and its perfect in everyway!! im getting one for my 2jz made soon, he does great work, dont be cheap you always get what you pay,
current: 96' Supra RZS single Gt42 490kw at 20psi, daily - Hiace 2.7 van '05
previous: 92' mr2 g-limited, fuls gen 2 turbo conversion, steel ct20b, external etc etc :)

Yeah it will be pretty much identical.

Normally, the only difference with the ebay spec chinese hks knock offs, is how much slag is left in the collector, and how warped the flanges are.

If you have access to a die grinder to tidy up the welding slag, and know somebody who can resurface the flanges for a good price, then they will be fine.

I'm considering a PHR manifold. Far from cheap, but lifetime crack free warranty.
But as mentioned above, SINCO is good bang for buck and proven quality.

wouldnt go for the cheap trademe ones, they will be same as ebay ones ssautochrome rubbish, no wastegate (unless fake) has the 4bolt flanges anymore so thats always an easy way to spot the cheap n nasty, as for cleaning up the slag etc doesnt always work i had a cheap chinese manifold few years back and it couldnt be tunned as it boost spiked all over the place as where the collector and wastegate port is badly designed.

got a sinco one made and gained 30kw with 3-4pound less boost,

Why is everyone going with steam pipe? I think it's too heavy and over the top. What's wrong with good old stainless steel?

Yep, unfortunately thats the risk you take when buying ebay spec stuff, as its so inconsistent. Somebody might get one that was built on a monday morning, and someone else, from a friday afternoon (although we all know these factories run 24/7) But you get my point lol

I wouldnt recommend one to somebody with no ability to tidy them up either.

You got good results from you sinco upgrade :) Its possible the wastegate ports in the collector were virtually blocked up, I know mine certainly were before they met a carbide tip at 100,000rpm lol

Scott - good idea. Though really, you should asshole that turbo and go back to the stockers.

Why do you want to change from your cast factory one, merged together into one?
I bet your car spools well. and your current set up won't crack.
Also, the factory cast one is the only manifold that has all six ports running in the same direction(angle) as the six exhaust ports on the JZ heads. i.e. 4 on angles, 2 straight.
