Try removing the boost tap to see if it fixes the problem. Just get a pipe and replace it between the turbo compressor housing and the wastegate actuator.

check your fault codes, hook your factory boost gauge up and see if it reads and if all else fails drop the cat off and have a quick look at the exhaust turbine.

how do i check the fault codes? and would anyone here by any chance know where the pipe from the factory boost gauge will be i cant seem to find the pipe i cut :(

For the fault codes bridge TE1 and E1 in the diagnostics box and count the flashes of the engine light on the dash (do a search for code meanings etc). The hose you've disconnected will be the one that goes to the map sensor other wise your car probably would have boost cut with that tap, hope that helps

what i meant ( sorry bout the delay been near dead with the flu ) was where you tap in the vaccum source for your boost guage . I foud with my old speco guages that the hose supplied to read boost figure , spliced into a vaccum lne via a T piece would pop off now and then , resulting in a vaccum leak , and the car going OMFG , no boost ..

Pop it back on again , with a better quality vaccum hose - and it was fine after that
