i have 2 e51's on my garage floor now

it appears that ae92 gtz E51 most likely non-lsd has a hole about 25mm diameter you can see right through the axle holes.

ae92 gtz E51 definately lsd has a hole about 10mm diameter you can see right through the axle holes.

havent done exact measure yet, thats just a quick visual sizing up. will get round to it this weekend, but its like the difference between a 5/10c piece and a 20c piece. if you have them both to compare the difference is clear.

still to confirm 100% that the other box isnt lsd, but id think it most likely is not.

Ill give mine a measure but you can kinda see the difference in the photos posted that the one with the smaller hole diameter is the lsd one and the non lsd one had the larger hole.

had a look at my ae92 boxes and they both have the smaller hole about 10mm diameter, and when you look up close it seems you can see what appears to be a small bolt on the inside of the unit , guessing lsd's where the axle goes through the plate is about 10-15mm thick too. What i noticed when i looked up close at them

just a point...
a TRD plate type LSD will have a clear hole right through
the C series TRD helical LSD has a little plate in the axle holes so you cant see through it

I'm going to pull my gtz gearbox down very shortly so will be able to take pics step by step and take note especially where the axle goes through the splines, watch this space
