That is a stunning looking header, will be interesting to see what difference it makes with the much longer primaries, and much shorter secondaries.

whats the theory behind header lengths?
for primaries and secondaries?
i know how all the scavenging works for certain RPM etc, but not really sure how the 4-2-1 works

Pics of the dyno results -

Image

speedfactor did a great job with the tune.
Red line is the PowerFC with the base Maps
Blue line is the tuned map.
Took 29 runs and about 1.5hrs on the dyno.
Running quite rich (for a NA car), they tried to lean it out but it just lost power.
The VVT-i settings on the base map were almost perfect, only thing they changed was 3 degrees intake for the last ~2000rpm (you can see the power jump).
Apart from that, the Base map is really good, just the fuelling is a little rich.

I didn't do a run with the standard computer in.
Compared with the standard computer, the midrange is alot better, now there isn't the torque hole from 3.5k to 5.0k rpm.
Much more pleasant to drive :)

Next on the list is to fit the Oil cooler i got, get some good brake pads and get some sway bars and she'll be ready for some track days :)

Cheers, Mike

Thats very impressive!! Well done :D Cool to see one making a bit of power, though will be interesting to see if it can go much quicker than a high 14 - they are quite heavy cars.

That's a freaken awesome effort, just from ECU and extractors!

I think I'll have to copy your setup.

i got a good exhaust too, 2.5" mandrel, 1x resonator and a Twin Loop Replica from Beyond Motorsport, Really good guys there.
And it's quieter than what i had previously.

If you want to check it out sometime RomanV, lemme know and we can meet up

Shot Titties 8)
Good increase and it sounds sweet too.
I hate seeing Altezza's with modified exhausts that have that yuck tinny sound. Your one is much nicer to the ear :)

be interesting to see what power it has on the dyno you used originally, for a more comparible figure that you gained. just saying cause i dont look at outright power, i look at whats gained.

did it gain much better driveability?

the power FC wont do shit if your maf setting is wrong.. the air cant be turbulating like it will from a pod it needs to be going straight over it

i put honeycomb mesh before the Air flow meter to ensure the air isn't turbulating.
Even if it was, you could tune it out via the Power FC anyways.

yeah it's way better, the mid range torque is alot more usable.
when shifting to 2nd from 1st, there is power on tap now. Unlike before when it was very hard to get a smooth shift cause i was moving into the torque hole.

I know what you're saying about the Dyno, but it's not worth the money to get it rerun.
I'm happy with how it turned out :)
