Trans change

hey guys my car is a pussy az auto and i want to change it to a manuel
seriously my auto is stuffed can someone tell me what to do and what i need all comments will be helpful hopefully oh yes my car is the 88 corona.

bugger!! what about an engine transplant will help or is it best to sell it.

well the only reason is that front wheel drives are annoying to work on. you can probably pick up a replacement gearbox really easily at pick a part tho, theres always heaps of those fwd coronas there, then you would need a pedal box with clutch and a hdraulic clutch master/slave and the fittings for the gearstick - pushrods etc and the gearstick surround that has all the mountings for the manual gearstick - you could get all this stuff fror probably 150ish i guess maybe 200 hundred at pick's. but you'll have to drill holes in you firewall for the clutch and also for the pusrod things too most likely, would be quite a lot of work for an old fwd

The car should have all the holes there ready. My supra's auto going manual and all the mounts & holes are there- generally car bodies are made ready to accept manual or auto (generally!). Like said you will need all the pedal box etc etc. I'd say go pick a part too- they have soooo many coronas usually. If you didnt want to go the wrecker route then I'd probably look at just swapping cars if I were you.

I agree goin to pick a part there's so many corona's in there its not funny
