Howdy, i'm the annoying aussie wanting the measurements :)

If its not too much trouble, i'm after the measurement from inner tie rod to inner tie rod. Not really worried about the steering arm length etc.

Many thanks!

you thinking about redoing the rack and pinion steering joel?

i was interested in trying it for my TA23 (eventual 1uzfe plans) but after reading the thread off toymods i'm semi put off, i haven't got the skills to get into it and work out all the stuff to get rid of bump steer and all the other problems.

if there was something with the right width it would be a hell of a lot easier though wouldn't it? don't you have KP starlets over in Aussie?

cheers
Matt

The poor deprived Aussies never got the RWD Starlets.
I had a look in my shed for you, but unfortunately I threw out my last starlet rack, using a TA63 rack in my car.

Howdy, yeah I put rack n pinion in my RA28 Celica. The problem is the rack is slightly too wide (around 30mm), I could shorten it but figured it would be worth looking into other setups.

The RWD starlet is a small car I figured and might have a skinner track than the AE86/KE70 rack I currently have.

But yeah, we didn't get any here :(

Mate the TA63 rack is pretty wide, I assume you'd be extending the pivot points for the control arms outbound so you don't have bump steer issues?

Cheers

I have the complete front AND rear end (IRS) in the car so pretty much all stock geometry for the TA63 except for a little bit lowered. My car has very little standard stuff left in it.

Ahh ok cool, no probs then.. I looked at this also (front end), but looked like it'd make my track too wide for the wheels to clear the guards.

Would have been a shit load easier though i reckon.

You got some flares?
