Broken Heater

Postby Audi » Fri Oct 15, 2004 4:33 pm

I'm not to stressed about this as summer is coming up but the heater in my car is broken. Like it still pumps out air, but whn you turn it to hot it doesn't get any warmer. Any possible things I could look into fixing? Its in a GT4 by the way.

Have you tried bleeding your cooling system? It might help it.

locate the heater tap and make sure its moving when you flick the switch - might need a helping hand for this :)

i couldnt tell you for sure on a GT4, but in my experience its usually located on the firewall somewhere

ever had bars stop leak in your radiator?

If so it's blocked your heater core because thats what it does.

stop leak killed my escort :(

Anyways, I'd be suggesting, as above, it's an issue with the heater 'tap'. As already stated, it's usually mounted on the firewall.

Never had anything like that in it as far as I know. What would this tap look like?
