Hi all,
I want to change the brake fluid in my Curren but I've never flushed an ABS system. I see that when this topic has come up before, a link was posted that says that the ABS reservoir can only be flushed by using an electronic doodacky to cycle the ABS. Other advice has suggested that the ABS reservoir can be bled directly or that bleeding from the calipers will replace all the fluid. I imagine that different cars have different needs but the Haynes manual has only a schematic diagram that isn't very helpful. Does anybody know whether ABS on these cars (Curren/6th gen Celica) prevents full DIY flushing, or will it be ok?
And if anyone knows that, can they also give me some idea of how much fluid will be required for a full flush.
thanks,
Russell
