Wont fit.

Most common thing i've seen is a electronic 4K dist modified to fit.

why do you want vacuum advance?

it isn't necessary.

why not run factory ecu for spark?
2 4ages are running that at present, both megasquirt for fuel only (1x NA/quads, 1x turbo).
my 3sge runs stock ecu for spark and MS for fuel.

Does anybody know much about megasquirt here? I'd be interested in investigating further... how hard is it to get the parts and assemble them?

Try this, I have a redtop 4age running su carbs. Apart from a small fueling problem the car runs fine.
What I did to solve the spark problem was this. I brought a 3K dizzy, had the gears removed from both the 3k and the 4a, then had the hole for gear from the 4a enlarger to fit the shaft from the 3k. Nexted had the oil pick up removed from the 3k shaft, now both shafts should be the same lenght. The last thing to do is make a sleve that has an o ring on the out side of the sleve so that now the part of the shaft that slides into the head are the same.

How bout this then

leave the wiring loom in there as is
install the carbs
set the fuel lines and pumps up etc
cut the plugs from the map sensor
cut the plugs from the tps
cut the plugs from the injectors
leave the water temp plugs intact
crank it over and you will see that it runs and advances fine .. i dont understand why anyone would goto a 4k dizzy when the standard setup works fine.

And yes.. visit the Megasquirt forums and website and check it out .. its fantastic ..
Karl Skewes knows quite mucho about MS but before asking any questions I request that you go have a good read on the forum :)
