leads and sparkplugs...

Postby ally » Thu Jun 02, 2005 7:31 pm

I want to get some NGK sparkplugs and champion leads in my 3S-FE corona. Just wondering if its worth it though? Do they make a noticable difference?

Cheers

Before you do anything, check the resistance in your leads with an ohmeter. Theres no point replacing leads when its not necessary.

Usually about 8k per foot of spark plug lead. As long as they are close to that and not reading really high or really low then you should be right. You usually get one dies before the rest so chances are if something is wrong you'll have an odd one compared to the rest.

I was told today that the dodsons autospares R32 GTR skylines run standard plugs and they are as good as any other

If your car has a turbo just close the gap a bit and it'll be fine
