Postby no_8wire » Tue Jul 12, 2005 11:16 pm

I am currently investigating potential modifications to my car, and thought I would ask what other have done/ what results they have got?

1st, 4AGZE running a 12psi pulley....

2nd 4AGTE running ..(14?)..psi boost...

3rd 4age Stock Redtop running a SC12 with 8psi

goto the garagedori website, plenty of dyno charts there for 4ages, 4agtes and 4agzes.

From my own personel experience I can only provide you with an estimate of power on 14psi as have not dyno'd it on that level of boost. Would expect around 160kw at wheels given that 18psi gives 188kw

Hope that helps

Also note that 14psi from a turbo will make more power than 14psi frm a Sc as the sc drains quite a bit of power

Yip may seem high but I have proof 8)

And it still lost power at 5500rpm, quite badly too. I think the power figure at 7000rpm was something pathetic like 45kw

the size of a turbo will also greatly affect the power..
ie running only 15psi mine managed 175kw atw..
plenty more left in it once i get get more fuel+boost in. go the turbo option , and select your turbo wisely for the application.

ihi vf24 (ballbearing) off a V4 STI.. still within reasonable limits for daily driving.
td05's and gtir t28's seem to net similar results as well. i think any bigger and you are just getting too big for the 1600 to make usable on the street.
i would have graphs to post but my tuner forget to get them for me. if this post is still going when i get a proper highboost run in a few weeks ill post those graphs :D

Matt looks like you need an external wastegate if you ain't got one allready. By the way at what RPM is your peak power?
My 4AG powered starlet puts out 227rwkw & 12.39 @ 115mph........ YEA RIGHT, Tui.

Yes it's on the wish list.
Limiter is at 8500 so I think that is the end of the scale?
