fuel pump wiring

Postby good ol stoners » Tue Oct 11, 2005 11:57 am

Hey I've done a 20v conversion to my ae101 levin had a 4afe in it.
I had to wire the fuel pump up at the diganostic plug from a 12 v source to get it working. This is currently working from my ignition barrel through a kill switch. So when all the lights are on the dash the fuel pumps running.

This is a bad idea incase I stack the car im going have my fuel pump running still with the engine off which for obvious reason i dont want happening.

Would someone be able to tell me where i could find a wire that has a 12volt feed only when the engine is running? And no power when the engine is not running.

Thanks for any help people can give me

you need the circuit open relay. Theres a wire from the afm to this so when the afm flaps open and keys on the fuel pump will run. Try a wreckers
