d2 adjustables

Postby jener8r » Wed Nov 23, 2005 12:01 am

does anyone here have a set of the d2 adjustable suspension in their car?
we put a set into my boyfriends ae85 and we found that when you wind the coilover just below half way the springs are no longer captive! has anyone else had this problem? we got some keeper springs but aparently d2 are going to re-design this model or lengthen the springs so that they are captive

Or....

You wind the part you've wound down, back up again, and adjust the height seperately as its designed to be done...

I dont know about the AE85/6 ones, havent seen a set myself. I have a set for a VR4 here in front of me, and the height can be adjusted seperately from the spring seat height but winding the whole assembly down into the mount itself - if that makes sense.

you mean at the very bottom? you cant do that with the ae85/86 ones because you have to use some of the original parts, the d2 shock sits in the part the original one goes in so you have to take the original out, theres no way of winding it up or down! bugger aye
