5K starving for gas!

drivnig the other day and it statred to surge when put foot flat t teh floor, then 20 mins later the car died, and wouldnt start, let settle for a bit and managed to jst make it home, joting up hill. Cleaned out the carb last nite and went for a drive and it seemd ok for about 3 minutes, the the same thing occured. The bowl in the carb doesnt seem to be filling up all teh way as when pump teh punmp on teh carb, only last for about 3 squirts then empty.

Tried pumping fuel into a botle to see if fuel pump was pumping and it seemd to be ok, but not the higest pressure.

and ideas what this could be?

cheers

I doubt thats the problem unless its really old and worn out.
You'd need to be making BIG HP to need an upgraded fuel pump.

Yea, carb pumps only run like 4 psi max usually.
I'd go with "solberg Fan" on this one, while the carb is appart to check the level make sure that the needle isnt sticking like "SUBARUCONVERT" suggested. Plus make sure when you pull the float out that its not got a hole in it or somthing like that and filled with fuel.
