**AE101 GTZ Knock Sensor Help**

Postby XS1V » Mon Mar 13, 2006 11:02 am

I have my 4agze running now after the rebuild, and as it has a smallport 4age block the knock sensor hole is under the s/c. This means i cant put the sensor anywhere and was wondering how do i trick the ecu in to thinking everything is fine??

I have extended the wires from the sensor into the center console so i have both power and earth if one is needed 8)

Anybody know how to do this??

Cheers
Brad

just bolt it on somewhere else on the block, there are 2 support beams supporting inlet manifold from behind, I think the thread on the holes is the same, just bolt it on there...

i have same a similar issue...

im gunna try sergeis idea first..
other one i had was to find 2 holes and bolt a steel plate between them
i was gunna weld a boss on that for the sensor, and as close as i could to that i was gunna drill and tap a hole either side so i could screw some bolts in and wind the tension up so its as close to a solid piece as i could get it.
