clutch not disengaging

hey guys just changed the whole clutch kit on my car an well it doesnt take gears wen the car is on an wen i turn it off it takes gears but if i start the car in first gear it wants to move forward even though the clutch pedal is pressed down..... im totally lost here the slave cylinder an master cylinders seem to be ok......

100% sure you put the clutch in the correct way round?

Release bearing & fork installed correctly?

yea im sure plus it did this even before changing the clutch when i first got the car it was fine but a week after the clutch sort of stayed half way down like the paddle wouldnt fully come up when released u sort of have to lift it up with ur feet but the car still took gears fine but in about another weeks time it wouldnt take gears until you gave the clutch pedal a bit of a pump..... an now after changing the whole clutch kit it still has that problem.....

well we didnt bleed the system fully yet but did a little system bleed an well it seems like there isnt enough pressure in the system an the fluid just flows out slowly while bleeding instead of squirting out so could this be air ine the system.....

The master cylinder could also be suspect then, with seal's internally stuffed possibly. When this happens you dont necessarly loose fluid, but if simply does not pump the fluid through.

Yea, sounds like air in the system compressing when you put ur foot on the clutch, just bleed it untill it doesn't make sure you don't run the master cly dry.

Hmm get someone to lie under the car and then put ur foot on the clutch, get them to tell you wether the pushrod actually moves, My guess is that the fork isn't actually ON the carrier for the release bearing propperly, but get someone to check and iff the pushrod is moving the clutch fork, then thats where i'd look first, Did you make sure to put the little clip things on the forks fork and the carrier?

If the pushrod isn't moving that means your having interaction problems between cylinders, make sure the flared copper line bits are secured firmly into each cylinder and neither are leaking, If thats not the case te seals in one of your cylinders have probably given up the ghost.

im gettin a new master cylinder tomorow because there are no leaks an the car doesnt loose fluid which only means one of the cylinders has crapped it self so ill change master first then the slave cylinder..... what do you guys think.....ohh an the clutch pedal adjuster was also loose could this cause any problems.....

Lol, yup, if its not ajusted right, it means the clutch will be disengaging when the pedal is somewhere near ur radiator.

good news after a weeks working hard under the car the problem has been fixed the car just needed a new master cylinder and clutch pedal adjustment, but along the way the release bearing the clutch the pressure plate all has been changed
