starter motor problems - 20v/k50

Postby Meadzy » Tue Jan 23, 2007 9:19 pm

hey all

im running 20v silvertop on a k50 box with 212 mm clutch setup and the 20v starter motor seems to be giving me a bit of grief as of late, it has been starting fine untill last nite where it sounds like its not pushing out far enough or too far? when i go to turn it on it sounds like its grinding and it doesnt seem to start.

anyone know whats wrong and if it would be better to use some other type of 4age starter motor??

thanks
hayden

Maybe the bearings are starting to get worn? The brushes oughtnt make a grinding noise.

You're bloody keen running a K50 behind a 20v!
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time
OMG so shiny!
