installing manual boost controller on mr2,,,

ok,, boost hasnt been touched yet,, i got a manual boost controller, got inlet/outlet and a screw on top to adjust boost (aranged in a "T" shape, also dont know what u should do with the bottom outlet) .. but where do i install it and do i need to remove any factory boost solenoids etc and if so how??

umm ???? haha does that mean i have to remove the VSV (whatever that is)? :roll:

Put it in the wastegate line, which is the one from the compressor housing to the diaphragm on the side. Block off the other line from the diaphragm at both ends of the line.
Leave your boost cut in until you get it sorted properly!

hey, cheers for that,

i still not sure about the third side of the controller, it got in and out then in the middle it got another smaller pipe coming off? does this need to be blocked of or plugged in somewhere else?? cheers pat

Without seeing what boost controller it is I can't really say.

Ah right, that looks to be where it bleeds off boost pressure. So blocking it off would negate having a boost tap :lol:

leave it open
if you block it the boost tap will do nothing(eg you will be running factory boost still)

yea cheers, i just found that out as i drove car with it closed then open and finaly got it sussed,
