kp60 wiring help

Postby ollieboy » Sat Jul 21, 2007 5:25 pm

After my car was burgled and broken a few months ago (who the $&#$% wants to steal a 4k) I have been working at fixing it. I had to rewire a huge bit of the loom and am now having trouble with getting the alternator to charge. I'm thinking it must be wiring because the Alternator is ok.

I believe it needs to have a circuit to know the ignition is on so it can charge which it doesnt have. So I need to know what colour wires I should be using off the alternator to make that circuit. It should still be in place behind the dash so I can work from here.

Also in the bottom pic does anyone know where I should connect the wires. There is a bit that says IGN so maybe that?

I would have consulted my kp60 maual because its really helpful but the bastards stole it from the garage as well

Thanks in advance. :D

You should have a plug for the dash loom, which plugs into the gauge cluster, into the slot to the left of the nuts and screw,no wires are bolted on the ign nut.

Ok, I'll have a hunt round tomorrow, the cars an absolute mess so its a bit of a mongrel and I suspect I will have to rewire it anyway.
