EFI 2TGEU Help

Postby ke25sr » Sun Sep 02, 2007 10:01 pm

Ive just converted my 2tg to EFI.
And I've had some small issues. Like it wont go...

as far as i can see I've wired it correctly and i no The ECU is in good order.

So I've missed something.

Has any one wired one of these up before? Do you have any advice?

From memory the ECU is fuel only.

I wired one from scratch in a starlet a while ago,
was a basturd of a job.

Make sure you have the trigger wire from coil -ve to the ECU.

it should splutter/ half run on the cold start injector at least
id check for voltage at the ecu while cranking
somethings (radio ect) turns off while cranking so where did you tap the power from

ok i got it to start but it wont stay running.

if i turn in the reds on i hear a click in the tps or air flow sensor ( im not 100% on which one) then i turn ke ind VROOM it will start. runs for a few second then dies.
if i try to start it again it wont fire.
Leave it for 5 minutes and it will do the process again.

Ok the ticking was the cold start injector opening.
I was missing a power to the injector resistor.

anyway it now runs and very well. I had to trick the air flow sensor as it was a little rich.

Thank you for all your help.

I'm extremely stoked i managed to wire up my own EFI even if it is a 2TGEU Dinosaur system.
