1.0mm sorry i was half asleep when i wrote that lol i emailed you today about those pistons etc.. i spoke to the engine rebuilders today apprently they need to overbore by around 1.0mm so im not entirely sure which pistons i need i spoke to vvega today and he belives that 0.50" is the correct size i would require? could someone shed some light on this as im getting confused

also i can get a good silvertop block so maybe id be better using that and honing it to suit new standard pistons with rings rather than buying a whole new set of oversized pistons?

I have had a couple of engine bored by 0.5 and it's not a problem.

I think 1.0 is also available but never seen it done.

IMO if there are marks in the bores that require 1.0 to get rid of them,
go for another block.

thats what i cant understand there are no visible marks on the block that would require that kind of machining to me it looked like a quick hone maybe a .5 overbore would be fine prehaps its out of round or something im not to sure i wasent there when they were measuring it up etc
ive sourced another block so i might just run with that insted

agreed

i had a little play in my block so i got it bored out to .5 just to make it tighter than a nun.

its more the play in the middle of the bore that causes issues i think
