2t and 18r diferances

hey i got a 2tgeu and have opitunity to buy a 18rgeu
i know ecu and inlet manifold are interchangeabil and the head has the same studs ect but what other simeraritys are there??
i know 18r's normaly have w55 behind them but would a t50 work if i used a t series bell housing??? are the gngine mounts the same on them???

thanks heaps if anyone can tell me anything

18r's have W50 behind them.
Can't tell you much else.

do you know how diferent the bell housing is? how hard would it be to adjust a t series bell housing to fit????

Nearly impossible to mod one and there are some celica/coronas out there with the standard 18R engines with T40/50's behind them so looking hard at some oldschool wreckers might yield one.

2T-G engines were based on a single cam pushrod engine
18R-G engines were based on an SOHC engine

Heads are totally different - only a few parts are interchangable

the upper 1/2 of the EFI inlet is the same on both with the throttle slightly bigger on the 18R-G

toymods has a good forum on these engines

yeah thanks... not going to get it as the engine mounts are diferent and bell housing is also so no point as it would have been a spere for the 2t
