as above, pretty easy job that can be done one lazy morning, but if you dont have much of a mechanical apitude def get a mate or just leave with the mechanic to do
I always losened (just loosened) the tophat nut before removing the strut .
From memory on mine had to disconnect brake lines as they go in a bracket welded to it, although I know of others who have just cut a notch in it so they didnt have to - but its a good opportunity to give the brakes a bleed anyway.
Unless you have lowered springs you really do need spring compressors, as Rev says above, some dangers involved potentially. There are other methods with them, but unless someone knows what they ae doing I wont discuss them.
That aside its a basic bolt in/out job. Make sure springs are re-seated in the strut rubbers properly and you are away.
