Why do i get a deep harmonic noise in my new rear muffler?

Hi i got a Levin BZ-R with a blacktop in it, i just put on a new rear muffler of 2.25" straight through one.

The exhaust sound is very deep and i get a harmonic noise at around 2500-4000rpm. So what do you guys suggest for me to do to remove these deep harmonic noises and make the exhaust sound to be a higher pitch noise also been quiter. one more thing i still got the CAT installed. Cheers

What else is the exhaust from the headers?

you say you still have the cat, and then is it just the factory piping(no resonators?) to the new rear muffler?

or if that one is stuffed... which i'm hoping is the reason you put a new muffler on....... not for wank factor I hope!!

put another muffler in the pipe somewhere between cat and fart cannon

Shoudl i put a coby resonator in between the CAT and the rear muffler? if not a coby what size and where shoudl i get this muffler from? Any good suggestions?

resonators tend to take our higher pitched noises, you need a proper muffle, like is in there from factory, as large as will fit usually does it.

Any muffler shop has them, and will happily fix what you've done to it.
