3SGTE Bearings

Postby Boosted_162 » Mon Feb 04, 2008 4:56 pm

Well, the random noise in my 3SGTE would appear to be the bottom end bearings. Im going to replace the rod bearings, if it isnt them i wont worry as its good maintenence  .

So ill be ordering some toyota bearings, now i know that there is different sizes available, and that the block is numbered as to what size it is. Now where abouts are the numbers? AFAIK the crank should be the standard size.

Also what tips to installing them? Coating in oil? And how tight do i do up the bearing caps?

Thanks :)
