Stock 4age with 3sgte injectors????

Postby KIPH8N » Tue Dec 28, 2010 6:17 pm

I got some 3sgte injectors that i want to put on my standard 4age 20v. Will it harm the engine? Increase performance??

I thought the car would go harder because of more fuel in the engine. lol..
I just put it on but haven't started the car yet. Whats going to happen if i start it up.

not sure on the compatibility of 3SGTE and 4AGE injectors.

Wont do anything in terms of performance

Well it's your car, but sounds like a silly idea to me.

No it won't go harder by just replacing the injectors, the factory ones actually provide enough fuel

have you done the usual headers, intake and exhaust? Even a good service will get more power back.

i reckon you will be pushing some hard power before you outflow the stock injectors on a 20v in NA form.

Pod filter will usually lose you power. You could source some blacktop extractors, but really to get good gains, you need pretty deep pockets.

Perhaps some nice lightweight mags 15s or something, and spend some $$ making it handle better.

You'll probably need to get some out of Japan, I imported a set of HKS ones for my car. Only made 3kw gain in peak power, but made huge midrange gains. Though I imagine with a decent intake setup and exhaust, the gains would have been even more impressive (car is otherwise stock)

bigger injectors but keeping N\A will make the car run rich as hell and make you lose power - so you get the bad fuel ecomomy and a shit running engine

although i have heard good stories from people using 3SGTE injectors on a 4A-GTE Conversion

if you want to keep it N\A then focus on flow - but then again a stock 4age pretty much has awesome flow - changing shit will more than likely cause you to lose power - or in the case of a friend who put "race" greddy extractors on his blacktop lost 20HP from 1000-6000rpm and then gained 3HP from 6000-8000rpm - the losses far outweighed the gains D:

Its hard to find blacktop extractors. Yeah i would need alot of cash for that. Have people supercharged a 20v because i got a sc14 supercharger which i bought for my silvia. Or i could get a turbo setup and run like 6psi? Standard bottom end gze pistons and trd .8mm headgaskit?

keep an eye out for ae101 4agze pistons and rebuild ur motor with those
then fit ur supercharger / turbo and injectors with aftermarket management

then get a good tune

i know ive exceded ur budget but u would end up with a reliable motor
u could run on 14psi all day
provided the tune is right

Strip it out. Absolutely everything bar the drivers seat.

Replace the leads, plugs, rotor and dizzy cap, air filter, fuel filter with genuine parts (maybe not plugs, some cheap copper NGK's will be sweet).

Run some high 14 second 1/4's.

really? isnt 14second a bit too fast for a standard silvertop motor?
