If it was that easy I would have already! Its' the bearings, they're making a fair bit of noise and lately have been making a metal-on-metal squealing noise on warm startups. Still charges fine. Found a good second-hand one with warranty quite cheap so am looking at replacing it with that when it lets go completely. This isn't a car we intend to keep long-term, hence the preference for a cheap easy fix.
Out of curiosity, how much does a brush kit go for? I assume its' possible to buy an overhaul kit with bearings as well?
