Link G3 gurus

Postby sponsormycrown » Sat Apr 05, 2014 1:30 pm

Hey I was after someone that knows alot about link g3 ecus. I had a 2jz running on a g3. Rebuilt the engine upgraded springs for future mods. Updated to g4 software through link and had them copy my g3 tune to g4 software for cam control.

Now problem I have is engine is not starting at all and sounds like timing is out. I have compared the 2 tunes they look similar except g3 ignition is set to rising and g4 is set to falling. If I change this setting it blows a fuse for ignition.

Checked physical timing. All marks line up. Its getting fuel and spark just sounds like timing is out either ignition or fuel. I have checked all coils and HT leads as it is running wasted spark. Any ideas?

I am in Auckland if there are experts out there looking for a cash job.

Yes I set timing to the factory markings. Ill chuck a light on it if I can find one. I had a similar problem when the triggers were set to non vvti instead of vvti. Does anyone know what vvti cam settings should be?
