Hi,
Working out a few of the final kinks with the levin (4age smallport)
Idle is really high, like 2500rpm at it's worst point.
After some tooling about including removing throttle body and giving it a bit of a clean, and some internet research I tried blocking the isc intake hole in the throttle body with my finger. It idle's nice and low and any turning of the wheels (checking how it behaves with the extra load of power steering) does not seem to both it too much.
I am considering blocking up this hole as i think the ISC is either faulty or jammed. It's possible there is another vacum leak somewhere i guess but i have no idea where or how to start looking, and i'm over trying to over complicate things, blocking this hole seems to fix my issue.
Any feedback on this idea? I understand the whole toyota put it there for a reason thing but im looking for a reasonable solution that will not take too long to implement.
If you have blocked this before, any tips on how to block it?
thanks
