Indeed, but try getting it covered if its anything other than an outright unit failure. DeeCee waiting 4 months for his headunit just to get the screen sorted. They cannot get parts, so if theres no replacement units, you're poked.Dirtbag wrote:I emailed them and they offer 3 year warranties on the headunits they sell
I actually work at Pauls AudioDirtbag wrote:Blackrazor, see you live in CHCH, where abouts would you reccomend I go for audio equip? I was looking at spending about $500 on headunit and front components 300 for headunit, 200 for speakers kinda thing.

Correct, but very few 'professional installers' will install PI gear, or at least warrant the install. For instance, we provide a lifetime warranty on all our installs of NZ new gear, but no warranty whatsoever on PI gear, because we have no comeback if anything goes wrong.AE82 FXGT wrote:I read somewhere on thier site that it's 3 years if professoinally installed and 1 year if it's done yourself.
Sure, come on by, at least you can see what we offer. And no, we dont have prices on our website normally as we tend to do gear at better prices for clubs than retail anyway, so theres no pointDirtbag wrote:Should I come into Pauls Audio sometime and have a talk to you/the others in there? Just looked on your site and no prices damnit!
The 4750 you mention belowDirtbag wrote:What was the mp3 headunit you would reccomend for around $300 Blackrazor?
The 4750 is our most popular headunit. The Pioneers, for the money, are very good, but they are like most mass-market speakers - reasonable bass but weak midrange and harsh treble. The difference is the Pioneers churn out of a factory in China by the million, whereas all the Rainbow speakers are made by hand in Germany by a company that individually tests each speakerDirtbag wrote:Just spotted the specials on your website, the Pioneer - DEH-P4750MP any good, or those pioneer speakers on special from 299 down to 190, or would you still get the rainbow audios?
