Caldina remove door panels

Postby magnazan » Fri Nov 09, 2007 4:45 pm

Need to get at my front speakers in a 98 Caldina. Without yanking away at the door panels is there some trick to getting them off? I've taken out the screw grommets is it just a case of pulling and it'll pop off?

Right got the 2 screws out of the drivers arm rest. Also removed the screw from the door handle. The panel is practically hanging off now but i can't figure out how to get it over the door handle frame. Does the door handle fram pop off as well or is there something i'm missing?

You need two small screwdrivers or similar, to lever these tabs, one up and one down to pop it off...

Also, once you get to the speaker you'll find they're rivetted in. The rivets are soft, so a drill or even some yanking with pliers will get them out eventually.

I haven't got standard speakers in mine. My drivers front speaker stopped working so i just made sure the cables were all sweet. Working fine now :)
