Uniden 2stage Shock Sensors

Postby l1ttle_d3vil » Sun Nov 02, 2008 11:48 am

How do the Uniden 2 Stage Shock Sensors work?

There are two dials on the sensor but I've got no manual to say which dial does what.

At the moment, the alarm is going off every time a car drives past

Cheers

Most uniden use Red and Orange pots for adjustment.

The Orange one is for the chirp/warning sensitivity.
The Red one is the full alarm setoff sensitivity.
Make sure the Orange one is set to less sensitivity then the Red one, or you'll find when the sensor gets set off, it'll go straight to a full alarm without chirping first.

Pretty sure they're clockwise for more sensitive, anti-clockwise for less sensitive.

Make sure it is solid mounted. I strap it solidly to the steering column so that a light kick to the front wheel makes it chirp, a hard thump sets it off.
