AVS S5 Turbo timer

Postby GX61 Mark II » Thu Oct 21, 2010 11:03 pm

I have an AVS S5 alarm in my car which has a built in turbo timer. I need to turn off the turbo timer for the toyspeed trackday on Monday.

Does anyone have the programming info for this alarm so I can turn off the turbo timer? (Would like to turn on auto rearm as well at some stage).

Google and the AVS website haven't helped!

Thanks

Hop in the car and shut the door as well as having boot and bonnet closed
Arm then disarm the alarm
Turn the ignition to ON
Press the boot pop button (left hand button on torch remotes) 16 times, it will beep for each press, if not start again.
Now turn the ignition off, the siren will beep
Press the boot pop button, the alarm will beep out what it is set on
1 beep = 1min, 2 beep = 2.5mins, 3 beeps = 5mins, 4 beeps = 0mins
Press the boot pop button again to cycle through till you have the desired setting
Turn ignition on then off again to exit the mode

Hey

Just a note, the 0 minute setting will still have the engine running on for 10 seconds. This is due to the ignition delay built in to enable the car to start without the immobilisers closing again. The only way to totally stop the turbo timer function is to change the wiring to a normal set up.

Auto arm is as follows:
Hop in the car leaving the door open and have the boot and bonnet closed
Arm then disarm the alarm
Turn the ignition to ON
Press the boot pop button (left hand button on torch remotes) 4 times, it will beep for each press, if not start again.
Now turn the ignition off, the siren will beep a number of times, one of the beep sequences will be four times. This is the conformation that feature is on :)

sorry to hijack but seems appropriate place to ask the question

whilst trying to set the turbo timer up for different time than the 10sec preset i somehow did the following

1. disarmed the indicator flash when arming/disarming alarm
2. have a non torch remote and car will only unlock using the boot button, wanting it back on the lock/unlock button
3. the panic button doesnt work like it used to

PITA i tell ya

any help with that?

Ever up on the shore?? Pop in and see me, easiest option and I can make sure it is all working as it should be :) Dont mind if you want to pop in after hours also.
