Is colour-coded interior RICE?

Postby Sanxta » Wed Dec 17, 2003 1:11 pm

What do you all think about colouring dash trim, seating and anything you can change on the inside of your ride?

I have done the full dash trim, and also seat covers in silver. I am thinking it is time for the seat covers to move on now . . . what do you reckon?

as long as it suits its intended purpose (i.e. show car) and its practical in that sense, then theres no problem.....

in the end its up to whatever tickles your fancy, unless you're trying to impress someone 8O :?

It depends really, most times i think it looks good cos manufacturers seem to be making interiors more bland every year, so we needs to gloss them up a bit just the same as putting on momo accessories, check out 8th sins BZ-R interior looks mint, doh! he change his picture on his profile................... oh well just imagine

Yeah but some of us like to ride in a cool surrounding, hence the reason I leave my trim in. I like an all-rounded car, a bit of speed, good looks, sounds and comfort.

Well, I did this before I even read the thread again, but I"m glad to say the Trueno is back to stock striped seats, although the dash remains cos I reckon that's alrite looking, plus ~blows own horn~ I did such a good job of it that it would be a shame to strip it all off again!

But cheers guys!

I fail to see the problem with making a car's interior someplace you enjoy?

By some of the posts above, I would assume that people don't even have nice sounds in their cars?

I don't know about others, but I hated being without my stereo, and I upgraded my speakers, and I fitted a smaller steering wheel because the factory one was too large. Because I made some improvements to my interior, which are not performance related, does that make it ricey? :?

Personally I don't enjoy looking at my factory interior, and I will be changing the colour to match my own preferences. If I'm spending a lot of time inside the car, I want to be comfortable.

I'd like to whip the pants off every other car out there, but that just isn't going to happen, so I just want to enjoy my comforts whenever I get stuck in traffic. :)

theres a fine line between rice and nice i thinks, some people who go over board, thats rice, where as if its just done for your own enjoyment then hell no it ait rice. if ur doin it to impress others, then its rice. if u do it properly it aint, if u do with with duct tape or duraseal, then $&#$% yes its rice!

i dont see a problem with people if they wanna make the interior of there car diferent by color coding it, aslong as it aint a shity job!
