yeah those clever lads at toyota decided that it would be wise to make VVT ineffective if the engine was cold, sorta saves your engine a bit of wear i guess

If you thrash your engine from cold you dont really deserve to own a car in my view

I gotta superbright blue hooked up and if your in the back seat in the middle when VVT engages you better be wearing sunglasses hehe 8)

Um retarded post whoreing?? Dude you have two posts on this thread, you don't own a car with vvt and you have probably never done a vvt light install in your life judging by the amount of use full information (hey wait you haven't contributed anything usefull in recent history) you have! So i suggest you just take a little look at your self before you go saying stuff about
retarded post whoreing
and not write anything unless you have something usefull to say!
U'm yeah toymad i can give you a hand to do your's if you want - make a direct copy of mine seeing as mine works well!

I mounted mine facing down on that half round bit that makes a lil roof over the dash, can b a lil bight at times... but if u hold the steering wheel right you block it out lol, thinking about maken it not so bright and mounting it in the center of the tacho were the supercharger light goes... there is a hole down to the face from the back for it

vvt light, switch

Postby GEOFF » Wed Sep 17, 2003 9:37 am

I put mine in last weekend, fairly easy.. took a while tho. I also installed a switch $4.50 from dick stiff, the led however cost me $3.50 .. a rip off when you can imagine there probably churned out of a machine in a factory thousands at a time. I recon theyd cost 5-10 cents at the most cost to dick stiff. Anyways, it works well.. I can turn vvt off when Im driving to&from work to save gas. I installed the swich/light next to the handbrake in one of those small removable pannels.

Well i thought id drag this post out of the weeds and say that i have fitted a vvt light to my car it was pretty cool for about 2 minutes then i went and saw my mate at dick stiff and he got me a super bright green one i think he said it was 10 000 mcp or sumthin he said he could get me a 14000 mcp one if i wanted it. Is it gonna be bright i dunno what mcp means??
It is a myth that emos are contagious, and you may be infected. However, it is still widely accepted to wash your hands after physical contact

it translates to million candle power, or roughly there abouts, brightness is almost always measured in candle power which seems kinda odd, lingo kinda rubs off after a while when all your mates go spotlighting (why doesn't anyone take me?, don't answer that)

I can't be fuct trying to do this myself and $&#$% it up, then have no VVT.

Would a mechanic do it? Probably for like $20 or something right? 8O

million candle power?????? think about it dude.. 2000mcd would be 2,000,000,000 candle power... thats enough light to turn your head to liquid  .. mcd is milli candela, some crazy unit they use

and yes, 10,000mcd will be annoyingly bright :)
