i personally think the word 'phat' is yet another aussie/gay word we dont need. nothing sounds stupider than sum aussie wanking on about phat hyundais........

i finks dat wurd is wiked, cos when u walks up to a bitch in da street and says "yo! BITCH! you is fat!" and they slap you one, you can say, "No! Bad bitch! i wa ssayin PHAT!, as in, u is P H phat, aka, u is wicked cool" and then they feel all bad for slapping you and they comes home wit u and dey boink yo brains out

PHAT is a near universal term which is found worldwide. It's what linguistics would call "colloquial slang". It's a way for people to express appreciation for something "hey that's PHAT!".

SICK is found a lot in events like extreme sports, ie. "that's a SICK move you just pulled off!". Also found in reference to vehicular locomotion, "that's one SICK bodykit on that PHAT ride".

Either way, I don't think you can call it an Australian original. :wink:
