hey all, i asked on club k but they arnt very good with replying.

just wondering a few things about modding my ke30:

wondering if any of these things are sweet to fit my ke30:

are all KE## exterior/interior parts interchangeable???

SR coupe tail lights and front grille and headlights?

SR center console for in between front seats?

Will those cheapy racing seats from repco fit in ok??

i heard your not allowed flares on a 4door unless there is 3inches of space between the rear door and the flare? theres a ke30 near i live with flares, is he just lucky to get away with it?

also i was thinking about engine transplants, everyone seems to be puttin rotas or 4age's in rollas these days, i wanna do something different!
any suggestions??

my mate suggested keeping it oldskool and i like that idea, he rekons a oldskool mr2 turbo? but arnt they 4age's? i wouldnt have a clue. what do you all rekon for a decent oldskool engine with a decent amount of power and wont cost the earth to do.

also, am i allowed to take the front chrome bumper off? i think it looks better without it, like the "NIGGZ" KE35?
will it still be warrentable?

yes and no, some things will change over but the most of things will have to be modified a bit, eg, my ke70, the back bumper would have no show of going on your ke

dnt see why not with a bit of adjusting, "rails etc"

yea there 4age's anyway, would be better getting a newer 4age, less problems

yup thats should be fine, unless some parts of the chassis stick out or something, theres some rule but it should be fine, check the wof sheets etc

thanks razool! with the interchangeable parts i was supposed to pu KE3# parts, so like 35 parts will fit mt 30 ok? im not worried about bumpers cos they are coming off in about an hour lol.

i was thinking more like tail lights front grille and headlights and the center console inbetween the front seats, maybee even the entire dash? if they are different?

You can be failed on dangerous fittings without a front bumper on if there are any sharp edges (ie bumper irons).

All interior from an SR will fit apart from the door trims and obvious things like that.

If your wanting to keep it old school then why not get a 5k or just do up the 4k and put a 5 speed behind.

As for exterior parts plastic flares just look funny, Why not get them fabricated out of panel steel and make it look nice, not nasty.

All SR ext parts will fit except Im not sure about the tail lights.

PS My 4k could keep up with nearly any thing in 1998

early and later dashes don't easily swap... but you can hold them in there.

that's the only part i can think of when swapping black interior into my late model 1979 ke35 of old.
