Any good mechnics in North Shore area?

Postby alastabesta » Mon Apr 26, 2004 8:01 pm

Just wondering if anyone knows any good mechnics that does quality works in north shore? I need my flywheel and pressureplate machined and get another set of clutch(hopefully won't last 10000k like the last 2 did >_< ) and my friend's car needs an outside ultrasonic injection flush, change transmission oil(AT) and change the fuel filter. She got quoted $580 for the above work but I asked around and so far most reck'ns aroud $350 mark? any thoughts on whether its rip offs or $350 too cheap?

any help would be greatly appreciated! :P

thx guys

no actually this time its friend's integra. she went to cartune and got quoted $700 for the work and now I'm doing some work for her but she still needs the out of car ultrasonic injection flush and maybe change ATF as well if I can't find a place to dispose the old ATF safely.

but thx for all the places :P

will try to find them in the books and give them a ring see how much they charge :D

thx everyone ^_^

What?! They took your speedo?!
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Most communities have a hazadous collection every few months. There is one in Albany fairly reg, you could take it there. Althernatly ask a local gaurage very nicely and they may let you use their container.

Cheap & ATF in the same question?
What sort of crap where you using to only last 6 months? Any big name brands from repco/appco like Valvoline or Pennzoil will do and at around $35 for a 5L its reasonably priced too.
