Would have thought it was pretty obvious to be honest
But yeh ... as much as people here know about Nissans, there are more people who know more about them in the Nissan Forums ... 8)

I know this is a Toyota forum, and I wasn't trying to go against it.
I simply wanted some help on Skyline's, and it's pointless me joining a Nissan forum when I enjoy Toyspeed already, I just wanted someone to answer a simple question, I didn't want people blabbing about this being a Toyota forum, 'cause, DUR, I think I know.

If my humble 2wd 2L MR2 hadn't already comprehensively destroyed a mighty GT-R at the track I might have taken you up on that :P. As it is I have nothing to prove. I stand by my comment,

I say you two need to go head to head, seriously, you are both in the auckland region, both seem to have reasonable cars, and im sure toyspeed would love to see the end result of the race :D

The GT-R wouldn't stand a chance......no one seems to have bothered finding out what spec the MR2 that Nemesis is refering to is at, last I heard about 450hp wasn't it Nem!!?? and set up specificly as a track car.

looks like you just assumed the gtr was going to be slower, as you havent bothered finding out its specs.

lets see them together on the track. :D

glenns gtr is a street car, but it sees the track every now and then.

Possibly.....I was under the impression it was running around 380 kw's at the wheels, and weighed around 1400 kg's, and isn't set up specificly for track (street driven with some track time every once in a while). Im sure it's quick....but In that trim I'd still back the MR2 with more power, less weight, and being specificly a race car :)

The GT-R wouldn't stand a chance......

Im sad now ...
Im going to sulk ..
What lap times does this MR2 do around Taupo on road tires ?
If its in Auckland there is a very good chance we will end up on the track at the same time anyway ...If he does lots of sprints and things ...

That's the spirit ;)

Nah Im not sure what sorta times he's doing......don't even know when the last time it was out, all I can vouch for is the power it's putting down (dyno sheet) and that it actully exists (looks REALLY nice too!!)

I don't know if you will get your chance....last time I heard the car was being sold and the enigne being taken out and parted out over time. Im sure Nemesis can fill us in :)

Im confused ,
1st its "The GT-R wouldnt stand a chance" but no one has any idea of its capabilities or which car you are refering to.
2nd No one actually seems to no anything about the MR2 that will see off ( presumably any GTR) other than it might have lots of power and its setup for the rack .
3rd , It turns out it might not exist anymore .
4th Actual lap times are completley unknown.

Im not sure what I have to prove to anyone anyway ?
Im more than sure I could do 42's or better around Taupo now.
Last time I was there I had never driven on that track had worn out pads , low boost and only base maps which were very rich.
Ill let you know in a few weeks what my new times are around puke.
I would expect 1.03 or close to that.

Lets stick to the subject matter ,
NA skylines are nothing flash , if I had a choice I would go AE86 ....
But thats just me ...
Maybe a 240 RS ...

Hahaha....I don't rember saying any of that Image

Ist it's capabilities are it has 450 hp, it is a track car set up for track racing, and it is a purple/black 1990 shell with a modded engine and various body kit parts.

2nd see above....not ANY GT-R, but possibly yours??
I was under the impression it was running around 380 kw's at the wheels, and weighed around 1400 kg's, and isn't set up specificly for track (street driven with some track time every once in a while). 3rd I was confirming it DOES exsist as my guess is not many people on this forum have seen it.

4th Indeed they are....I ain't seen it on the track, we might never know Image

Im not sure what I have to prove to anyone anyway ?

I don't really follow track racing....what are some other times around there to compare it with??

Lets stick to the subject matter ,
NA skylines are nothing flash , if I had a choice I would go AE86 ....

IF I was going to take a NA skyline it would be an R32 GT-S, mate has one and so does the next door neighbor, sound great, look good and go OK but there getting hard to find with low km's these days.

IF I was gonna go NA and was looking for something around the same cost as a R34 Skyline the an Altezza for sure...no questions asked, there pretty quick, look damn nice, and have quite a bit of potential from a modding point of view.

Running those times in qualifying would put him Around the middle of the NZ V8 Tourers Field.
