20v AFM

Postby MR2boy » Sun May 30, 2004 5:55 pm

ive been fiddling with the screw on the afm on silvertop 20v (wasnt right to start with)

ive managed to get it to idle fine but it feels quite slow then i managed to get it to feel quite quick but it idles around 600 and occasionally stalls

so how many turns from top or bottom is the screw supposed to be to get it back to factory settings?

and yes ive tried searching but nothing specific came up

proably best to take it down to a place with a air/fuel mixture reading machine and get them to adjust it back properly.
Theres a few in chch, when i get my car back i might drive near fitzgerald ave and find the name of the place that did mine if u want? costs about $10/$15 but at least u know its set right.
(car wont be back till wensday/thursday)

Yip,
they turn the screw to adjust it while the cars running, & they shove this metal rod in ur exhuast that measures it, then they rev the car a bit to make sure everythings right threw the Rev range
ur car feels a bit funny afterwards, i re-set my ECU after it and it seemed to run normal after that
