Revhead's constant bickering in other peoples threads.

like where??!!

Offical Japanese TRD website and it lists Toyota New Zealand and Sollitt Trading Company as official New Zealand distributors.

along with Toyota New Zealand. who i am a representative of.

personally I would buy from someone who specialises in the product I want.

like toyota parts which is what i specialise in

what I dont like is pplclaiming to be the sole supplier etc etc when that is simply not true.

also i dont think this is really the place to discuss this. start a thread asking ppl how they feel about the service i offer. or if you have a problem talk to me. ill pm you my phoine number

This is the most intelligent comment you've made to date.
This thread belongs to those people who want know about springs.
It is entirely unreasonable for you to attempt to hijack it for your own misguided agenda.
sxe10 hit the nail right on the head & expressed feelings I'm sure a lot forum members share.

cheers

pot calling kettle black? Representative of Toyota? Wouldn't - parts assistant for out of the way privately owned franchise holder - be more accurate?

springs

Postby THA SHZ » Fri Jun 04, 2004 1:13 pm

I think some people need some hugs and learn to let things go :D
Back to the topic i can get ahold of king springs , eibach , dobi or coil overs but if you want a certain amount of drop than i recomnd you call snell springs in auckland and the hand make to your specifications of wot drop you would like.

People post these things in here cause they require help not arguments can't we all just be friends :D

Best point in this whole thread yet!!!

Go and talk to Larry at Snells, he knows and understands springs and what rates work for what applications, by buying a set of replacement springs ie King's, Jamex, TRD etc you are buying something which is a hell compromise, they are progressive to allow for the reduction in height and ride quality not performance which is what it is all about aye!! There is no cheap way around it, you need to get some decent shortened shocks and a shortened decent rate linear spring if you want uncompromised performance.

For what it is worth i had kings/kyb's in my GT and it rode far better back on the standard springs, all the kings did was assist in regularly bottoming out the front shocks, i now have Bilstein Adj Coilover struts with 65mm ID king springs, by spending the money in the first instance i can now quite cheaply change springs for heavier or lighter ones rather than have to go through the whole exercise again because i only did a half job in the first place.

For what it is worth, King Springs are found in most (maybe all?) Aussie supercars so there is a little truth tothe claim about a lot of race cars using kings!!

On the TRD issue how about we run a reverse tradeME auction type arrangement where you guys both bid to supply us for the cheapest price

Not necessary N1. We already offer ther the best price.

Also, you're wrong about TRD springs being progressive. They're not.

Me bad, sorry should never associate TRD with Kings & Jamex!! I was referring to common drop in replacements such as Kings and Jamex! I had TRD's in my SW20 and i can assure you there was nothing progressive about them, they were nice and hard!!

But the main point i was trying to make is that a drop in set is usually compromised to suit the majority of people ie the ride quality/performance compromise.... with going the whole hog and getting a race coilover type setup it gives you the ability to setup the car to your exact requirements and preferences!
