Hey, the fxgt is out of order here is what is wrong. When I drive in a straight line and de-accelerate or put into neutral the car makes a banging sound coming from the front leftish of the vehicle. I am guessing it is the steering rack or differentials.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks.

could be a cv joint, is it more pronounced when turning a corner, especially in one direction?

A long shot, but check engine mounts as well.. I have a AE82 FXGT power steering rack you can have if you like, i really do not know if any different to AE92 though. Has only done 140,000km, nothing wrong with it, i have converted to manual rack!!

i've been in the car since it started making the noise. it sounds like the cv joints, but it's not... when you accelerate it doesn't make any strange noises...
