NZPC for me, i am big fan of the 'fastest of the fast' department. i dont buy fast fours, hot 4s or other those other aussie mags unleast it got sumthing on toyotas or sumthink real phat. if i got cash to spend sometimes i'd go buy sumthing like max power(uk) or super street(us)

I buy NZPC, but only when there is something i want to see in it, they have definitely gone downhill over the last few years, new fashion section just about sums up my thoughts, they do however know the haps, and its good to read something kiwi.
HPi and Zoom both kick arse, wikkid indepth tech articles, and well written articles on all their feature cars, but there is too many aussie cars in zoom (dont like holdens or fords no matter how juiced they are) and HPi seems to have had a shit couple of months recently (but had been getting better and better since i started getting it/reading in the shop)

Hot 4's (and rotaries) i avoid like the plague, they have had a couple of good articles (funny that they have some of the same team writing them as zoom and hpi) over the last year, really interested by the one on earth wiring systems and they backed them up with solid dyno testing, other than the few stand out tech articles which seem a bit hit and miss the mag is absolute bollocks, Fast fours is like the less retarded version of Hot4's, seems the owners of the cars actually know what they are doing when they are modding, but like hot4's is hit and miss and i wont buy it unless something in it grabs me by the nuts when i have a flick through.
I bought a copy of an american publication called SportCompact a few months back, never again, just dont go there, it was large and took me a fair while to read all the bullshit stuffed between the covers, the reason i bought it was because i was taken in by its class appearance, that and it claimed to be a drift special, to say i was dissappointed would be an understatement, that mag blows it seems to be very good at getting yank teens to crack open their piggy banks and spend coin on car shite though

From the choices above.... Fast Fours for me, been buying it since 1993, love it, and they have a lot of good tech articles in it!

Otherwise, a UK mag called Retro, deals with old cars, and specifically, makin em go f**king fast!

I read NZPC, bought every issue since about 16, and a few before...get the occasional Fast Fours when I've got nothing to read, and I often get HPI, thats a good read.

I like SPEED, and I also read a fair bit of Import Tuner (USA). It's good to see what the US scene is doing.

I prefer SPEED as the articles are slightly more technically written, but without being mind-boggling. They could pump the content up a notch though. :D

I've bought several issues of NZPC mainly because I know the owners or have seen cars featured... or I just plain like the cars. 8)

I avoid most UK mags like the plague - if I want titties, I'll buy a titty mag.

Im subscribed to NZPC because its a NZ mag
I get Hot4's and Fast4's if I want something to read, or a laugh
Zoom and HPI when I see them, especially with Toyota articles in them
All the speed mags
The odd Street Machine  same reason as Hot4's Fast4's

Performance build ups its an awesome mag from a technical standpoint
other than that theres a few copies of CCC, EVO, Classic car, Driver and that sort of thing lying around
But then again Dan and I will read just about anything

Speed, Rev, Zoom, Motor, NZPC, Street Machine, AutoSpeed, Petrolhead :D I am halfway through all the free articles on autospeed lol.
Occasionally I get driver or autocar...
The best UK mag is EVO, TVRs, lotuses, porsches, Uk market jappers like Wrxs etc... its damn good and has top-notch photography. $20 bucks though :(

NZPC is all good. I get pissed of with the Aussie mags that fill up with Airbrushing, Daewoo's and bloody Gemini's. What is it with those Gemini's?. Oh, and Proton's. aaaargh.
Mind you, as other have said NZPC has slid a bit in the last year or so.
HPI is good if you like skylines! half full of them!

meh
most mags are 'average'

The ones i enjoy reading the most, are NZ racer(i think its called?) and petrol head :) both free, both with good cars.

petrol head is more v8 stuffs etc, and nz racer feats. most types of motorsport.

I think NZPC need to print a FAQ in every issue!
q. i have a familia can i put a gtx motor into it? A. NO
q. i have a lancer can i put a evo motor into it? A. NO
q. i have a impreza can i put a wrx motor into it?A. NO
q. can i get a BOV without a turbo?A. NO

nzpc = wannab racers

Autotrader.
Laugh at all the over priced cars, and dealers competing with each other saying they're the cheapest when you find another one cheaper.

My real favourite's "Speed" pretty cool articles, not just full of riced out cars.
