Postby sprint » Mon Jun 14, 2004 6:56 pm

Its got cut springs at the mo and i want to put standard ones back in for the mean time until i got the $$$ for sum decent springs. Its got TEMS (Electronic suspension) which is why im asking cause i dont want to F**k it up!

and you gota be carefull how u place them on the spring cause people have lost limbs and heads from them letting go

14,17,12 mm spanners/sockets
power bar
2 jacks and/or an axel stands

Nah i dont work in silverdale, so i guess it wasent me.

I was more asking if someone could give me a step by step on what to do. I have the basic idea. Just not with the TEMS system.

no biggy on tems you wont wreck anything aye it just makes the shoch harder/softer cut springs might have dammaged it tho but you wont dammage it when putting in your new springs

the wiring comes in from the top of the shock (from memory)
so you need a special socket to get off the bolt in the top hatt
socket needs a slit up the side could probably make your own with a grinder

I dont quite follow. I took of the TEMS top which had three external bolts. Then took of the two internal screws. This leaves a blot lodged down inside a metal tophat but a standard socket should get it off? It is a nylock bolt.

ok im not 100% here because ive only seen tems in levins but im sure that it has 3 wires going down the shock strut like right down the middle and it has a plug off that so to get a socket on you have to have one with a slit up the side so the wires can poke out while undoing the nut
