i saw in parts for sale section a supercharger of a 2.4L previa van and it mite be slightly larger than the 1ggze one, just curious if anyone knew what model that would be i couldnt find any specs about them, just curious about displacement compared to the others and if pully kits are available for it etc, might be an idea for a project
4agze = sc12
1ggze = sc14 (old soarer one ?)
previa van = ????
but the sc12's from 4agzes are newer engines than the old soarers or so i thought ? but then again i dont know the production years that the 1ggze engines were produced cause those are the engines that the sc14's are from arnt they ???
oh ye sedans like the older chasers etc or mark II's but ye was just curious about them compared to the one off the van anyone know about these ones ? just theory at this stage but possibly for adapting to a 4agze i assume it would be similar work like the sc14's eg having to change the direction that the inlet and outlet face ?
i think the one for sale u talking about is the same one that i went to have a look at, its not bigger than an sc14 even if it was off a 12.4 litre, how do i knw this? cause on the sc unit it had sc14 ensribed on it =). sc14 come of previa and i think old school cressidas not sure, but yea i used to think they came off soarers aswell.
ive jst bought an sc14 and soon to be stuck on in place of my sc12. not sure if u can get a bigger superchaarger than a sc14.
if u want a crazy future mod, the next step is a sc20 i think off a landcruiser but dont quote me on that.
mean sc20 actually dont tell me that ill just get silly ideas, ye i would possibly be looking at gettin a ze engine put in place of my 4ager as soon as driveline and few other bits and peices done, and if i dont turbo the engine i have, but i havnt seen a sc12 and 14 next to each other so im not entirely sure about fitting it, as fair as i know the pipes are facing the wrong directions and if you are mounting in on a fwd its gettin pretty close to the firewall, seeing as mine is rwd hopefully i wouldnt have to many more dramas
im pretty sure that there are no issues if stuck in a rwd, yea for fwd u have to knock back the firewall, u need to redo the pipping for the ic, and if u have a sc14 its prob a good idea to get a bigger ic as apparantly the teflon melts if u spin em too fast

yes can confirm teflon melts if you run 19psi thru a sc12, shafts also bend
ye i was thinking a vr4 front mount anyways, but an sc14 still has a similar boost to an sc12 doesnt it and just flows more air? so i was thinking an sc14 with a pulley kit that would still be alot lower than 19 psi so would that make issues with bending a shaft or melting teflon ? and then i realise with all the extra piping and bigger intercooler you get the "sticking throttle" syndrome casue it has a lot more air to suck thru before it adjusts, if i keep the piping as effcient as possible and maybe just use a slightly smaller diametre pipe would this elliminate it ??? 2" pipe or something ?
Sir-Gurew has his set up running 18psi but thats with an extra injector and gt4 fuel pump, ul have to upgrade the fuel pump no matter wat u gna run. i guess smaller piping wu shorten the adjstment time a lil but then u sacrificing the better air flow
