Well the 3SGE would be easy, but to be honest, selling the car and buying a faster car to start with would be the easiest fix!

Bro this question gets aksed all the time, I gotsa corona 2 and afta aksng around...
You get some rear susp assemblies from celica with discs (cos drums won't help much when it comes time to certify the beast)
3sgte for max power but in a fwd car you may well be happy with a later model 3sge the latest generation 3sge's put out more(?) than gen 1 3sgte's. Apparently you keep your corona box (sux for me as this is my second and just after warranty my synchros in 2nd and third started going).

Costs 3sgte from bout $1500 to $2500 for second hand one (not sure if that with loom and stuff).

My suggestion is to get the suspension sorted first, you do not wanna die in your mega powerful boat  , for a 3sgte you should get a complete overhaul done, new shocks, chicken, rotor upgrades maybe even calipers etc. remember you gonna be almost tripling the power if you doing it properly. :D

Well I still a while off on mine but suggestion is to buy a $500 car and take your project car off the road...... don't take any shortcuts... and watch out for chickens.

oh yeah, if you want a brake upgrade then if you get in quick, avondale pick-a-part still have all 4 brakes on the st185 there, and I'll bet if you got the front disks, calipers, and brackets they would bolt right on to a corona, and you would have some nice twin piston brakes up front. I'm not sure if the back would swap if you only have drums, but you could grab the rear's from an st162 or a corona with 4 wheel disks.

how much did they cost you? I thought you were selling the Corona?
Pick-a-part's pricing is really weird, the gearbox from that car cost me $70, the rear diff would have been $140!
