I have a 1.5L,fwd toyota corolla. It has a 3a-lu engine which is stuffed.I saw a 4a-lu (1.6L) engine for sale today.Does any-one know if the 4a-lu engine is bolt straight in my corolla. Will the 4a bolt onto my transmisson without mods.

To answer you question, it will be a straight bolt up. Should be a simple swap. Why don't you source a 4AGE 16 or 20 valve and ecu for it?

I'd imagine ronio73's found a bargain 4a-lu, which would be a cheap replacement and a bit of a power upgrade at the same time, do it ronio73 it'll be mean :D
A plan so good my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about...

This is for my daily run around car, just to get me to work.I just need to get the car working.
I already have a project car which is a heavily modified supra. My supra is really not good for daily driving, because when on full throttle when the to4e kicks in ,the supra ends up going zig-zag instead of straight when I am on the motorway.
