1UZ-FE Questions

Post by lvn_mr2 »

Been hunting the net and still can't get a definate answer:

Im trying to find out the dimensions of this engine, From the sum to top of Intake Mani, the length and the width at the bottom by the sump and at its widest point....trying to see if it will infact fit into my m8s engine bay.

And where can these be sourced from? and for what kinda money?

cheers

800x800x800 basically a big cube.
parts imports were selling em in auckland for around $1300 last time i checked. evil_si just sold his for 2k with w58 on the back. quite easy to find nowadays.

my cousins 1997 levin. he toasted the engine and decided he would like and give a V8 a go lol!

are you guys sure its 800mm from the belt covers to the flywheel? seems awefully long, too long to go into a FWD config?

better off getting a MKIII or earlier supra, or a MX73 cressida or similar,

then the engine bolts straight in (compared to converting it to a FWD)

I was lead to believe that it was a 700mm cube
I cant see it fitting in a FWD set up, but RWD...
Now were talking
